Our art projects have 5 “centsible” goals to:
5¢: Reach beyond the typical arts audience;
4¢: Engage the community in unique ways;
3¢: Interact with project sites;
2¢: Take into account the specific communities, built environments, and/or the sociopolitical histories of the site;
1¢: Invest $40,000 in community-based public art that teams up established Detroit artists, community members, and youth to create public art.
And that’s our 5¢.
