The neighborhood, environment I would like my participation to be considered is Central area of the city. The process that I will use to gather inspiration for the work from the neighborhood and interact with the community is that art is made in the context of time and created in all cultures. It happens in cultural contexts and is a social act. This approach will give me an avenue to investigate the concerns, ideas, criticism of the residents and community leaders of the neighborhood thus giving tangible form to the location, why and what type of art form is necessary.

I have worked with groups of all ages, as a mentor and educator for a number of years as highlighted in my resume.

Accessibility to the visual arts in our public schools is extremely limited. The public schools, community centers and churches provide a population of young students eager to learn about the visual arts. This is where I would begin to include child in the community projects.
